Youth empowerment is the process of enabling young people to take charge of their own lives and to have a say in the decisions that affect them. It is about giving young people the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to be active citizens and make a positive contribution to their communities.

At Kafaalo, we engage in different activities to empower youth. This includes:

  • Education and training: Providing young people with access to education and training to help them develop the skills they need to get a job, start their own business, or go on to further education.
  • Life skills development: Helping young people to develop life skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution to help them cope with the challenges they face in their lives.
  • Advocacy: Encouraging young people to speak out about the issues that matter to them and to advocate for change so that they can make a difference in their communities.
  • Volunteerism: Giving young people opportunities to volunteer in their communities in order for them to develop a sense of civic responsibility and to make a difference in the lives of others.
